Frequently Asked Questions Regarding CASE PD Cancellations

We understand that the cancelation of some institutes has left our teachers with questions or concerns. Please see the FAQs below; we anticipated several of your questions so we can better serve you during this transition.  

NOTE TO ALL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS: By May 30, an email will be sent to ALL recipients showing the status of your scholarship (used, roll-over to 2021, remaining balance, declined, etc.) and providing documentation for your record-keeping purposes. 

I'm registering for a virtual option, and since this payment goes directly to CASE/NAAE instead of a host, my bookkeeper needs a W-9 and payment info from CASE/NAAE. Where can I get that?

I have already paid for a canceled Institute or BriefCASE. I do NOT plan on rescheduling for a virtual option. How do I receive a refund?

  1. Cancel your registration on this form. You will need your confirmation number. Confirmation of cancellation should arrive within 48 hours.
  2. Contact the host of your institute and request a refund. Host Contact Information

I have already paid for a canceled Institute or BriefCASE. I want to reschedule to a virtual option. What do I do?

  1. Cancel your original registration on this form. You will need your confirmation number. Confirmation of cancellation should arrive within 48 hours.
  2. Contact the host of your institute and request a refund. Host Contact Information
  3. Register for the new institute you wish to attend.

I registered but have not yet paid for a canceled Institute or BriefCASE. Now that it’s canceled, do I need to do anything?

  1. Yes, please cancel through this link so there is a record of cancellation. 

I received a scholarship. I planned on attending an Institute or BriefCASE that has been canceled. I cannot reschedule for virtual options. Can I use the scholarship next year?

  1. Yes, you can. First, cancel your registration through this link.
  2. Fill out the Scholarship Use Form, AS IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY REGISTERED. We know that you are no longer registered or never were, but we have kept the form the same. This allows staff to know you will use the funds in 2021.
  3. A confirmation will be send mid-May at the latest to confirm that your funds will roll over into 2021.

I received a scholarship. I registered for an Institute or BriefCASE that has been canceled. I need to transfer my registration to a virtual option. How do I do that?

  1. Cancel your original registration through this link.
  2. Register for the virtual option using the name and amount of your scholarship as the PO number.
  3. Fill out the Scholarship Use Form to indicate your use of the funds for 2020. If the option you choose costs less than your scholarship, the remaining about will be applied to a 2021 institute of your choice. 

I’m interested in attending the immersive ASA model. I need information ASAP for myself, my school district, my admin, etc. Can you tell me more?

  1. Information on the immersive ASA model will be available by May 15, 2020.
  2. Scholarship recipients can use their scholarships for virtual PD, EXCEPT AEM/FEMA/EMA Scholarship Recipients, as there is not currently a plan for APT or MSA virtual PD this year. 

My question is not listed here. I'm struggling. What do I do?
